A Future-Focused Approach to Education
We strive to provide a 21st Century, relevant, and standards-aligned curriculum on the belief that all children can learn, that students share responsibility for their own learning, and that students must develop adaptive skills to succeed in the diverse and changing global society awaiting them after graduation.

On April 1st, 35 talented students from our 9th–12th grade choir program took part in the PMEA District Choral Music Performance Assessment at Immaculata University. Representing Penn Wood with pride, our students impressed not only with their musicality but also with their professionalism, earning compliments from event staff and attendees alike for their respectful and engaged presence throughout the day.
Our choir received strong ratings of Proficient and Advanced from the adjudication panel. In addition to performing, students had the valuable opportunity to watch five other local high schools perform and received a 15-minute clinic with Dr. Justin Cates of Temple University—an inspiring experience for all!
This marks Penn Wood’s first choir appearance at this event in over two decades, and we couldn’t be prouder of our students` accomplishments! Choir director Mr. Patrick Hein shared, “We are so happy with how they performed and are excited for future opportunities to get out and perform outside of our school. Stay tuned for future performance dates!”
