Lansdowne, PA – February 5, 2024

In response to school closures on January 16, 17, and 19 due to inclement weather, the William Penn School District announced changes to the 2023-2024 academic calendar to ensure all students receive the required instructional hours.

The following changes will be made to the school calendar:

• Previously scheduled half days on February 14, April 17, and May 29 will now be full school days.
• May 13, originally designated as a professional development day, will now be a full school day for students.

The district understands that these changes may cause inconvenience for some families. However, they emphasize the importance of ensuring all students have access to a complete and quality education.
