Director’s Message:
Welcome to William Penn’s Personalized Learning Community!
I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to have the opportunity to support PLC students and families. This year begins my 24th year in education. I am a lifelong learner and can’t wait to dive into the work, observe the school’s innovative teaching culture, engage with students, complement a culture of joy, and scaffold for excellence.
As a 100% remote learning program for kindergarten through grade 12 students, our PLC staff looks forward to partnering with families during the school year to ensure your child is learning to the best of their abilities and is fully supported. There will be challenges along the way, and we will work through these challenges together. PLC is designed to engage students in grade-level content and learning standards through a combination of live, synchronous, and asynchronous independent learning. Our staff is very passionate about providing our students with the best educational learning experience.
Our students are required to attend live instructional blocks through Google Classroom twice a week and access the online curriculum materials and resources through Edgenuity. Our staff will provide students with engaging and relevant learning experiences that are connected to real-world learning and applications. We will challenge students to think critically and support their growth and learning. Following the traditional school day, students will have the opportunity to learn, grow, explore, laugh, build relationships, and discover their passion for learning about the world.
I look forward to getting to know you and working collaboratively with staff, families, and students to grow and learn together. I am grateful to work with the dedicated team of PLC to continue to help students along their path, inspiring curiosity about the world and celebrating their accomplishments.
