Principal’s Message

Dear Ninth Grade Academy Families,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am honored to start my second school year as Principal of Penn Wood – Ninth Grade Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for me to continue to lead the Ninth Grade Academy in a greater capacity and I am honored. As a current resident of the William Penn School District and a proud parent of a Class of 2021 Penn Wood High School alum, I know firsthand the value of partnering with our teachers, staff, and administrators in our continued effort to produce the best outcomes for your students. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to our community as a partner with you in this process to ensure student success.

As a team of teachers, staff, administrators, and parents I know we will work together to further the traditions and successes established, while also growing in the areas most critical for future success. As a school, we will continue our focus on social-emotional learning, high behavior expectations, and high academic expectations, and continue to use data to drive instruction.

I believe this school year will be a time of tremendous growth for our school community. As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors whether a teacher, student, and/or parent/guardian are excited to be here. This attitude will enable us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, and nurturing environment.
