Grief Support

Lansdowne, PA – February 6, 2025

Dear members of the William Penn School District Community,

As you are aware, this week a year ago we lost Penn Wood High School Student Mohammed Yusef and the Le family. Both of these tragic events touched everyone in the district and the community.

We understand that this news may be triggering for our students, staff, and families. Our school district has a team of counselors and social workers available to provide support and assistance to anyone in need. We encourage students and families to reach out to us if they need help processing their grief or if they need assistance in any other way. If at any time during the school day, your student needs support,  please have them report it to a staff member and they will be directed to immediate assistance. Please fill out this Google form to inform us if you and your family need resources for grief support.

A public memorial for the Le Family will be hosted this Friday February 7, 2025, at East Lansdowne Borough Hall starting promptly at 6pm. We also share our thoughts and prayers with the family and loved ones of Mohammed Yusef.
