Principal’s Message

Dear Penn Wood Family,

On behalf of the staff here at Penn Wood High School, we hope you have had a wonderful, relaxing, and rejuvenating summer so far. I can’t believe in just a few short weeks, we will be back together again, passing each other in the hallways! I am exhilarated to begin my 2nd year as the PROUD principal of PWHS. This past year was filled with much excitement and we had a very successful time together. Our student, parent, and staff surveys shared that we are moving in the right direction and PWHS is the PLACE TO BE! We reduced our suspension rates by 21%. In addition, students are attending school and class at a much more significant rate than in prior years. We are on the right track with our growth and achievement. We believe this next year is THE YEAR to make a difference.

We have a plan in place to provide you all with the best experience possible. Our MTSS/PBIS team has been working to find rewarding events for the students. Our teachers have been preparing to provide you all with highly engaging, rigorous, and strong instruction. Our athletics teams have been working out all summer long. Our facilities team has been preparing the building to be shiny and clean for the first day of school. Our goal, as always, is to implement the district vision in cultivating students to be college and/or career-ready.
