Principal’s Message

Dear Penn Wood Family,

This summer has flown by! We are extremely excited for the start of the 26-27 school year. The teachers have been working extremely hard all summer to prepare for your return and provide you with highly engaging, rigorous, and strong instructional lessons. Our athletics teams have been working out all summer long. Our activities, such as band, have been working hard in the summer heat for next year. Our building has been receiving upgrades for its centennial year. I’m proud to share that we will have most of the building with air conditioning!!! So cool (get it???)!!! We are also taking exciting steps to make the campus even more safe for all our stakeholders.

As I enter my fourth year as your princiPAL, the systems, shifts, and changes we have implemented in my time are taking deep roots. Last year we are proud to share that we exited our SECOND school improvement designation for students with disabilities. Our students have a huge impact by making the right choices, evidenced by our total incidence reduction for the second year in a row. Penn Wood High School is on the right track and we are excited for what the future holds. We have consistently improved the academics and climate of the building through our amazing MTSS process. We have reflected on what worked, and made improvements on what hasn’t.

Our goal, as always, is to implement the district vision in cultivating students to be college and/or career ready. We can’t wait for next school year! See you all on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
