Principal’s Message

Greetings Bulldogs,

Welcome to East Lansdowne Elementary School!

I’m Dr. Nakia Williams and the PROUD Principal here at East Lansdowne Elementary (ELES). I am so excited to be a Bulldog!  We are #tough #tenacious #wegetthejobdone

I started my journey as an educator many years ago, where I served 7 years as a Special Educator in a Philadelphia middle school and then transitioned to a suburban High School, where I spent approximately 10 years.  For the past 10 years, I’ve answered the call to be a school leader. My journey as a school administrator began when I gave leadership to an online school that serviced students, virtually, across the 50 states.  From there I went on to serve as the director of special education and then as an assistant principal across two different Charter schools in the city of Philadelphia. The principalship is my calling. It allows me to be an instructional leader without losing that personal connection with students and the community that I so enjoy. I love my job and I look forward to partnering with you regarding all things East Lansdowne Elementary School.

I’m a collaborative leader and thrive on building an environment for student success.  I hope that you will partner with me to ensure our students have what they need to accomplish all of their dreams and goals.  It is my goal to partner with families, students, staff and the community to ensure that the elementary years are memorable for all. I look forward to working with you and getting to know your student(s).
