In recognition of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, America250PA has announced the launch of the Semiquin Scholarship Program, a new initiative awarding $250,000 in scholarships to Pennsylvania high school seniors for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The program will provide 25 scholarships of $10,000 each, distributed across America250PA’s six regions. Up to 12 awards will be reserved for students attending Pennsylvania community colleges, while up to 13 will go to students enrolled in the Commonwealth’s post-secondary colleges and universities.

Applications opened September 16, 2025, and will close January 31, 2026. Submissions will be reviewed from February 1 through March 15, with notifications issued by March 30. Scholarship recipients will be announced publicly in April 2026 and honored at a special luncheon in Harrisburg later that month.

Students applying will be selected not only for their academic achievements but also for their demonstrated understanding of civic values, reflecting America250PA’s mission of marking 250 years of American independence with education, community, and engagement
