Lansdowne, PA – February 7, 2025

The William Penn School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Nakia Williams as its new Executive Director of Student Services. Dr. Williams, who has served as Principal of East Lansdowne Elementary School for the past four years, brings extensive leadership experience and a deep commitment to student success.

In this role, Dr. Williams will oversee key programs and specialized services that support our students and families, ensuring that all students have equal opportunities to succeed. The Student Services Department coordinates critical areas such as counseling, nursing, social work, homebound and homeschooling programs, supports for students experiencing homelessness or in foster care, attendance and truancy efforts, residency investigations, and the development and maintenance of district policies. Dr. Williams will also oversee the district’s Code of Conduct, annual notices, and field trip processes.

Reflecting on her new role, Dr. Williams shared:
“I am honored to take on this role and continue working alongside our incredible staff and families to support the growth and success of all our students. My time at East Lansdowne has been deeply rewarding, and I remain committed to creating environments that empower students to achieve their fullest potential.”

We are also pleased to announce that Ms. Jennifer Cifuni, currently Assistant Principal at Colwyn Elementary School, will serve as Interim Principal of East Lansdowne Elementary School. Ms. Cifuni’s leadership and experience will provide stability and support to the East Lansdowne community during this time of transition.
