WPSD Recognized with 11 Statewide Communications Awards

Lansdowne, PA – March 2, 2026

The Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association has named William Penn School District a multiple-award recipient in its 2025 Communications Contest, recognizing excellence in storytelling, strategic communications, and visual media.

With more than 280 entries submitted statewide, this year’s contest reflects the depth and quality of communications work supporting public education across Pennsylvania. William Penn’s eleven awards highlight a communications approach rooted in elevating student voice and celebrating authentic moments across the district.

From the district-wide Strategic Plan framework to photography capturing student artistry, athleticism, and creativity, the recognized work shares a common thread: making the everyday extraordinary.

At its core, William Penn’s communications strategy is about building connection and ensuring that families, staff, and community members see the brilliance, resilience, and joy present in its schools.

The district’s communications efforts are led by Communications and Marketing Supervisor Deirdre Abrahamsson, who oversees overall strategy, branding, and messaging. Communications Manager Justin Watson supports multimedia production and visual storytelling initiatives across the district.
