William Penn School District Secures $3.5 Million in Grants for Facility Improvements

The William Penn School District is proud to announce that it has been awarded $3,494,625 in funding through the Public School Facility Improvement Grant Program, provided by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). These grants reflect the significance of our district’s efforts to enhance accessibility, safety, and energy efficiency across our schools.

The awarded projects include:

Bell Avenue Elementary School – ADA Accessibility Project
Award: $494,625
District-Wide – HVAC Control Replacement Project
Award: $500,000
East Lansdowne Elementary School – Emergency Roof Replacement Project
Award: $500,000
Penn Wood Middle School – Main Roof Replacement Project
Award: $2,000,000

This recognition from the CFA underscores the importance of our facilities and our ongoing commitment to creating high-quality learning environments for students and staff. Superintendent Dr. Eric J. Becoats commented, “We are honored to receive these grants and look forward to the positive impact these projects will have across our district.”

As we move forward, the district will work closely with CFA representatives to plan the rollout of these projects. Careful coordination will be essential to ensure we implement the improvements efficiently and effectively. Updates will be provided to our community as the plans take shape.
