Arts and Music

The William Penn School District Arts & Music Department is dedicated to inspiring creativity, expression, and excellence through high-quality arts education. Our programs empower students to explore their talents, amplify their voices, and connect learning to culture and community.

Arts and music play a vital role in our students’ academic and personal growth. Through visual art, instrumental and vocal music, and performance opportunities, students develop creativity, discipline, collaboration, and confidence.

Our programs are designed to be inclusive, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate, ensuring every student has access to meaningful arts experiences from elementary school through graduation.

Band and Choir

A diverse group of students is gathered on stage, dressed in matching black polo shirts featuring the school's music program logo. A student with long locs and glasses stands at the center, holding a microphone and singing. The students surrounding the soloist are smiling and engaged, appearing to provide backing vocals or support. The lighting is dramatic and cool-toned, typical of an indoor auditorium performance.
