Jacquez Mabin, Class of 2020, Named Semifinalist for Prestigious Gagliardi Trophy

Lansdowne, PA – December 6, 2024

The William Penn School District proudly announces that Jacquez Mabin, Penn Wood HS ‘20, is a semifinalist for the 2024 Gagliardi Trophy, presented by Sterns Bank. This honor serves as the Division III equivalent of the Heisman Trophy. Since 1993, it has been given annually to the most outstanding NCAA Division III football player, recognizing excellence in athletics, academics, and community service. The award is named after John Gagliardi, Saint John’s legendary Hall of Fame head football coach, who passed away at age 91 in 2018.

Currently, in his senior year at Delaware Valley University, Jaquez has excelled academically and athletically. His dedication on the football field and in the classroom has brought great pride to our community, and to be nominated for this award is truly a testament to Jacquez’s hard work and character.

The 2024 Gagliardi Trophy finalists will be announced during a live show at 4 p.m. ET Thursday, December 19, on D3football.com. Host Pat Coleman will profile the finalists during the program. The winner will be revealed on D3football.com during the week of the NCAA Division III football national championship game.
