Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion Program
What is the Homestead Exclusion Program?
On April 13, 2009, the Governor implemented the Homestead and Farmstead Exclusions (Act 1), which allows school districts the ability to reduce their taxes based on revenue received from the state.
In order to be eligible for this program, the homeowner must reside in a dwelling primarily used as their permanent home. In general, it is the address where you live, where you have registered to vote and have registered your driver’s license.

Library Highlights
Dear Families,
Our libraries are working to support your students with digital tools they can access anywhere. As a library system we provide resources that are available to all Delaware County students. Some highlights are below and you can find many more on our website at www.delcolibraries.org.
- Library Cards – students can receive their new library card number via e-mail by using our on-line form. They will receive their card number by e-mail and will not need to validate their card in person until January 1, 2021. Personal e-mails work best unless the school allows receipt of the delcolibraries.org e-mail.
- E-books & Audio-books – available through Overdrive
- Simultaneous Use E-books – 125 new e-books for K-6 have been added to our holdings. Use this link and scroll down to Capstone Interactive to read them. These e-books are always available – no waiting!
- Online Databases for Kids – resources for K-6th graders
- On-line Databases for Teens – resources for 7th-12th graders
- PA Power Library – students who want to use PA Power Library can either use their public library card or get a Power Library ecard.
