Meet the Athletics Coordinator

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the athletic director of the William Penn School District, I would like to welcome you to the athletic department and share some important information about our sports programs. Our district offers a variety of athletic opportunities for students of all grades and skill levels, from intramural to varsity teams. We believe that participating in sports can help students develop physical, social, and academic skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

To ensure the safety and well-being of our student-athletes, we have implemented some policies and procedures that you should be aware of. These include:

– All students who wish to join a sports team must have a physical examination and submit a completed health form to the school nurse before the start of the season.
– All students who participate in sports must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 and attend all classes regularly.
– All students who participate in sports must follow the code of conduct and respect the rules and regulations of their coaches, officials, and opponents.
– All students who participate in sports must wear appropriate equipment and attire for their sport and practice proper hygiene and nutrition.

We encourage you to support your child’s athletic endeavors by attending their games and events, volunteering as a coach or assistant, or joining the booster club. We also ask you to communicate with us if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions regarding our sports programs. You can reach me by phone at (610) 284-8080 ext. 2158 or by email at rcurry@wpsd.k12.pa.us.

Thank you for your cooperation and involvement in our district’s athletic community. We look forward to a successful and enjoyable experience for all our student-athletes.

Sincerely,

Rap Curry
Athletics Coordinator
