Lansdowne, PA – January 20, 2026

Due to a heating issue at Penn Wood High School – Green Avenue Campus that caused an early dismissal on Tuesday, January 20, the building will not hold in-person instruction on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Students in grades 10 through 12 will participate in a virtual instructional day from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Teachers will post asynchronous assignments in Google Classroom, and students will have access to teachers and staff through virtual office hours for additional support. Students are expected to submit assigned work for credit, and attendance forms were emailed to each student by their assistant principals to complete. Additional details will be shared directly with students through their district email accounts.

The district will continue to monitor the situation closely and will share building updates as they become available. The health and safety of students and staff remains the district’s top priority
