Dear William Penn School District Community,

As the search for the next superintendent of William Penn School District continues, we are excited to announce upcoming opportunities for students, families, staff, and community members to share their perspectives and help shape the district’s future. As noted in our previous update, feedback gathered through this process will help inform the superintendent leadership profile, candidate evaluation criteria, and interview questions used throughout the search process.

To encourage open and honest dialogue, all focus groups will be facilitated by representatives from the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU). Board members and district administrators will not participate, and feedback will be collected and reported in aggregate form to protect participant confidentiality.

In addition to several virtual focus group opportunities, the district will offer an in-person community focus group prior to an upcoming Committee of the Whole meeting. The Board hopes this additional option will make participation accessible to as many community members as possible and encourage broad representation from across the William Penn community.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance using the appropriate link. Following registration, a confirmation email with participation details will be provided. Registration information will remain confidential and will not be shared with the district.

For those unable to attend a focus group, a community survey will also be available and shared in mid-October. Together, the focus groups and survey will help ensure the Board’s search process reflects the priorities and perspectives of the William Penn community.
