Lansdowne, PA – September 27, 2023
From the Delaware County Intermediate Unit:
Suicide is a leading cause of death among youth. In recognition of National Suicide Prevention
Awareness Month, we want to raise awareness about the importance of youth mental health and
suicide prevention. Some ways to prevent youth suicide at home include creating a supportive
environment, being vigilant for signs of distress, and knowing how to have crucial conversations
with your child. Together, we can promote emotional well-being and help prevent youth suicide.
