Dress Down for a Cause: William Penn School District Holds Fundraiser for Penn Wood Foundation

Lansdowne, PAFebruary 7, 2024

Mark your calendars! On Friday, February 16, students and staff have the chance to ditch the dress code and embrace their casual wear for a good cause. The district is hosting a Dress Down Day fundraiser to benefit the Penn Wood Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching opportunities for the social and academic growth of students in the district’s six boroughs to provide equity of opportunity and academic excellence.

For just $1 per student in grades K-8 and $5 per staff member, participants can trade their uniforms for jeans, comfy sweaters, and their favorite sneakers. Students in grades 9-12 can participate in High School Hat Day also for $1 per student and $5 per staff member.  All proceeds from the Dress Down Day will directly support the Penn Wood Foundation’s mission to enhance the educational experience for all William Penn students.

Here are the details you need to know:

  • Date: Friday, February 16th
  • Cost: $1 for students, $5 for staff
