Now that the 2024-2025 school year is underway, the William Penn School District Family Advisory Council is resuming its meeting schedule.
The Family Advisory Council (FAC) is comprised of parents/guardians of students who meet regularly with Superintendent Dr. Eric Becoats and district leaders. Council members represent their student(s)’s schools and provide valuable feedback and ideas. They also learn about district initiatives, plans, and operations and have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in dialogue. A new strategic plan will be developed during the 2024-2025 school year, so the FAC will provide parent/guardians’ perspectives during this process.
Meetings occur once a month on a Tuesday at 6 p.m. The dates for the 2024-2025 school year are: October 22, November 26, December 17, January 28, February 25, March 25, April 22, and May 27.
Check out the video below to hear from some current members of the Family Advisory Council about their experience. If you are interested in joining as a new member, please complete this form by Monday, September 30, 2024.
