Led by Myishing A. Cox, the district’s Federal Programs Coordinator, this annual meeting is designed to provide updates, solicit feedback, and share information about how the district utilizes federal grant funding to support student achievement and school improvement.

The agenda includes:

  • Overview of Titles I–IV federal programs
  • How Title grants support William Penn School District schools
  • Review of how 2025–2026 grant funds have been or will be obligated
  • District data and identified needs
  • Parent involvement and engagement strategies
  • Feedback opportunities for families and stakeholders
  • Areas of improvement and potential new initiatives

These federally funded programs play a vital role in enhancing educational outcomes:

  • Title I provides supplemental funding for schools serving low-income students to help all children meet state academic standards.
  • Title II supports teacher development and professional learning.
  • Title III provides additional support for English Learners and immigrant students.
  • Title IV helps improve student academic achievement by strengthening school and community capacity.

“This meeting is an important opportunity for our school community to learn how federal funds are used to benefit our students, especially in schools with the greatest need,” said Ms. Cox. “We also welcome and value input from families to help guide future improvements and new initiatives.”
