Lansdowne, PA – November 6, 2026

The William Penn School District is committed to providing safe, positive, and enriching experiences for all students, including our student-athletes.

Following an ongoing review of athletic operations and student feedback, the District will reinstate Penn Wood High School winter sports for the 2026-2027 season. The athletic department is actively working with coaches and staff to prepare for upcoming team tryouts, practices, and winter competition schedules.

In addition, Penn Wood Middle School winter sports student-athletes will complete their climate and culture survey during the upcoming week to ensure student voice continues to guide athletic programming across all grade levels.

The District will continue to review administrative functions within each sport and will work collaboratively with coaches and students to ensure a safe, supportive, and productive climate and culture for the upcoming season.

The athletic department will distribute detailed information regarding winter sports tryout schedules, required physical examinations, and student-athlete Code of Conduct forms through ParentSquare and school announcements. The District appreciates the ongoing partnership, commitment, and support of our families, coaches, and school community as we prepare for a successful winter season.
