Lansdowne, PA – March 24, 2026
The Penn Wood Foundation has officially opened applications for its 2026 scholarship program, offering financial assistance and mentorship opportunities to graduating seniors within the William Penn School District. These awards recognize academic achievement, character, and specific career interests ranging from business to social work.
Available Scholarship Awards
The Foundation is facilitating several distinct memorial and merit-based awards this year:
Penn Wood Foundation Scholarship ($1,000): This award will be presented to two seniors who demonstrate academic success and a positive vision of their education. Recipients are chosen based on their ability to overcome personal obstacles and their commitment to “paying it forward” in the future.
Vito C. Macri Memorial Scholarship ($1,000): Funded by the Macri family, this scholarship supports a hard-working student pursuing a career in any trade, photography, or technology. In addition to the $1,000 grant, the recipient may choose to access mentoring from the Macri family’s professional and military networks.
Danielle N. Seward Memorial Scholarship ($1,000): This scholarship honors a 24-year legacy in public education. It is reserved for students pursuing careers in education, social work, or counseling who are passionate about advancing educational equity and youth development.
Julian V. Falana Business Scholarship ($500): Awarded to two seniors who have achieved an 80% average or higher in Business Law or Entrepreneurship. Candidates must plan to pursue business education, implement a class-developed business plan, or invest the funds.
Thomas and Jane Clark Memorial Scholarship ($500): Funded by Domenick Macri, this award honors the encouragement and support the Clarks provided to his own educational journey. Like the Macri award, it includes optional access to professional mentoring.
