Lansdowne, PA – May 29, 2026

The Penn Wood Theater Group will present its upcoming production of the Tony Award-winning musical “In the Heights” at Penn Wood High School. This special production highlights the collaborative efforts of the district’s creative community and features performances by Penn Wood alumni alongside current students.

Set in the vibrant New York City neighborhood of Washington Heights, the musical explores themes of home, family, and resilience through an energetic score combining hip-hop, salsa, and soul. The production offers audiences an opportunity to experience the diverse talents developed through the district’s performing arts programs over the years.

Two showtimes are scheduled for the community. The opening performance will take place tonight, Friday, May 29, at 7:00 p.m. A matinee performance will follow on Sunday, May 31, at 5:00 p.m. Both presentations will be held in the auditorium at Penn Wood High School, located at 100 Green Avenue in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.

Tickets are available for purchase both in advance and at the entrance before each performance. Community members can also utilize the ticketing platform to submit donations in support of future Penn Wood Theater Group productions and student activities.
