Lansdowne, PA – June 3, 2026

Due to forecasted weather conditions for Thursday, June 4 and Friday, June 5, and in consultation with the union, the William Penn School District is adjusting the schedule for two school buildings. These changes are necessary due to the lack of cooling in these facilities and are being made to ensure the health and safety of students and staff.

PWHS-GAC
PWHS-GAC will operate on Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs) on both Thursday, June 4 and Friday, June 5. Students will be expected to complete learning remotely, and additional details regarding expectations and procedures will be shared directly by the school.

Walnut Street Elementary School
Walnut Street Elementary School will have an early dismissal on Thursday, June 4. The schedule for Friday, June 5 is still being determined at this time. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide an update as soon as a decision is made.
