Dear William Penn School District Community,

The Board of School Directors would like to provide an update regarding the District’s leadership transition and the search for our next Superintendent.

Dr. Becoats’ retirement became effective August 3, 2026. He has agreed to continue supporting the District during the transition and superintendent search process. The Board has not appointed an interim superintendent at this time.

The Board has contracted with the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) to facilitate the search for the District’s next Superintendent. The search process is anticipated to take approximately four to five months and will include opportunities for stakeholder engagement as the process moves forward.

Additional information regarding the search process, timeline, and opportunities for community participation will be communicated as it becomes available.
