Tune In June 2 at Noon: Dr. Becoats Joins Statewide Discussion on Adequacy Funding

Lansdowne, PA – June 1, 2026

PA Schools Work will host a virtual press call on Tuesday, June 2, at 12:00 p.m. to release a new report, The Impact of Pennsylvania’s Adequacy Supplement. Dr. Becoats will join education leaders from across Pennsylvania to discuss what these investments mean for students, educators, and school communities.

The report examines how Pennsylvania’s adequacy funding is helping school districts strengthen instruction, expand student supports, improve student well-being, and reduce pressure on local property taxes. During the event, superintendents from districts across the Commonwealth will share how these investments are making a difference for students and schools.

While this funding has provided meaningful support, school districts across Pennsylvania continue to face significant financial challenges. Rising operational costs, increasing student needs, and longstanding funding inequities mean that additional investment is still needed to ensure every student has access to the resources and opportunities they deserve.

The WPSD community is invited to tune in and learn more about the impact of this historic investment in public education and the work that remains ahead.
