Weather Update

Lansdowne, PA – January 23, 2026

Dear WPSD community,

We are closely monitoring the forecast for this weekend’s winter storm, which may bring significant snow and icy conditions on Sunday, January 25 into Monday, January 26. Our priority is the safety of our students, staff, and families, and we want to share our plans so everyone can be prepared.

If school is closed on Monday, it will be a traditional snow day with schools and offices closed. Also, the Board Business Meeting, scheduled for that evening at 6:30 p.m. would be virtual only with no in-person attendance. This decision would be made and communicated by Sunday evening.

If conditions require a closure on Tuesday, that day would also be a snow day, but we will make that determination by Monday evening as we review updated weather information.

Any decisions regarding delays, closures, or instructional plans will be communicated through ParentSquare. Please make sure your contact information is current so you receive notifications via email, phone, and text. We will also share updates on our website, on our Facebook, Instagram, and X accounts, and with local media outlets.

Please note that if the district is closed, all outside transportation and after-school activities, clubs, and sports are also canceled.

We will continue to monitor the forecast and provide updates as needed. Please stay safe as this winter storm approaches.

Thank you.
