WPSD Recognizes October’s Driven Achievers

Lansdowne, PA – November 5, 2026

As the 2026-2027 school year gains momentum, the William Penn School District is proud to feature its Portrait of a Graduate, a central framework within the district’s strategic plan, Focus Forward and Beyond.

Created with the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, the Portrait of a Graduate outlines six key traits that every William Penn student builds from kindergarten to graduation:

Driven Achiever: Continuously strives to reach full potential, setting high standards for personal and academic growth.
Ethical Leader: Embodies integrity, makes principled decisions, fosters trust within the community, and celebrates diversity.
Innovative Thinker: Embraces creativity and a forward-thinking mindset, generating new ideas and solutions.
Effective Communicator: Communicates effectively and clearly, adapting to diverse audiences and situations.
Hardworking Contributor: Shows strong work ethic and productivity, balancing ambition with responsibility.
Optimistic Visionary: Approaches challenges with positivity, enthusiasm, and a hopeful outlook for the future.

Throughout October, schools across the district highlighted what it means to be a Driven Achiever, setting meaningful goals, staying engaged in schoolwork and extracurriculars, and viewing setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow. Whether persevering through complex assignments or leading by example, these students embody dedication and focus every day.
