Eligibility

In order to be eligible for employment with the William Penn School District, you will need to complete the below clearances and documents prior to your first day of work.

Please review the following information as it will assist you in expediting the employment process!

 

Required Hiring Documents



 

Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance

  • Navigate to the Child Welfare Portal
  • Select “Individual Login” >> “Access My Clearances” >> “Create Clearance Application”; results will be emailed to you. (Cost: $13)
  • Valid for five years

 

FBI Criminal History Background Check

  • Pre-enroll for the FBI Clearance at IdentoGO.
  • The Service Code is 1KG6XN. After enrolling, you will be able to schedule a fingerprinting appointment.
  • You will receive an unofficial copy of your results via email. Please note that the link is available only for one-time access, so please make sure that you have the ability to download, print, or save your results before opening the link.
  • Valid for five years

 

Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check

  • Go to PATCH and click “Submit a New Record Check”. Results are usually generated instantaneously as a PDF. (Cost: $22)
  • Valid for five years

 

School Personnel Health Record and TB Test

  • Download the School Personnel Health Record form.
  • The physical and TB test must be completed by a physician.
  • The physical is valid for one year pre-employment; the TB test is valid for three months pre-employment.

 

Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release

  • Act 168 requires all candidates to complete the Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release form for any employer that was a school entity or where the candidate had direct contact with children.
  • Please complete the top section and Section I for any current/former employer meeting the criteria described. Please do not send out to your former employers; we are required to complete that step as the hiring entity.
